We need to note that, in the past, when people used traditional cleaners, they thought flux residues or other contaminants could be removed with volatizing solvent, and they would judge the cleaning result just by naked eyes.


Now by using water-based or semi-aqueous cleaners, and detecting the cleaning effect in formal methods, we can ensure the best cleaning results. In fact, all test results show that the current cleaning method is better than the traditional cleaning methods.


Generally there are three methods to examine the content of dirt, namely visual observation, testing Surface Insulation Resistance (SIR) and ionic contamination testing. After the cleaning experiments, you can use the above three methods to test the circuit boards and visual observation is the most commonly-used method.
